Striker Jesse Lingard will not be in the City match squad that travels to Derby County at the weekend due to a knee injury.
Lingard sustained the injury during the game with Leeds United at Elland Road last time out, a game which Blues lost 4-0.
The news is obviously a blow to the team as he has been an inspiration since arriving on loan from Manchester United, although he was kept quiet at Elland Road.
Clark told the club’s official website: ‘We`ve lost Jesse Lingard for Saturday, but we`re hoping he`ll be ok for Charlton.
‘It’s the ligament in knee, but we`re hoping that with rest it can be solved and it doesn`t need any type of work done to it.
‘He`s back with the Manchester United medical team, which is part of the deal, and they`re in charge of it and will decide where we go next.’
Birmingham could do with getting something from the game this weekend as defeat may mean the club slipping into the bottom three.
Derby on the other hand are challenging for a play-off place at the other end of the table.
