Omar Bogle’s energy, desire and all-round work rate were very impressive against Swansea on Friday evening.

In stark contrast to Che Adams, who he replaced in the starting lineup, the 26-year-old was sharp and fully committed. There’s no doubt that he’ll be starting again against Bolton on Wednesday.

Fans on Twitter were all happy with what they saw from the Cardiff loanee:

One fan thinks we now have a number of good options up front:

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much from Bogle when we brought him in earlier this month. From the looks of things though, he seems to have something to prove which is a big positive.

He has a physicality about him, the work rate to get around the pitch, and although he could have perhaps done better with the chance that was presented to him, there is no doubt that we were a greater threat with him in the team.

We certainly need to offer more away from home. At St Andrew’s, we can give anyone a game, but when we travel to Bolton this week, we need to provide a greater attacking threat, and Bogle should give us the best chance of doing that.
