Omar Bogle’s energy, desire and all-round work rate were very impressive against Swansea on Friday evening.
In stark contrast to Che Adams, who he replaced in the starting lineup, the 26-year-old was sharp and fully committed. There’s no doubt that he’ll be starting again against Bolton on Wednesday.
Fans on Twitter were all happy with what they saw from the Cardiff loanee:
I watched on the box. Bogle had a face like a man possessed. He wants to score as goal as much as we do #BCFC

Bogle, Gardner and Mahoney are all going to be exciting players for us this season. I’d much prefer to have players like them who want to give their all and fight for the shirt than the overpaid loan players we had last season. #BCFC

The thought of Omar Bogle and Issac Vassell partnering each other up front is too much. Mags and Jota either side creates a very frightening. #BCFC

Pedersen an absolute rock and starting to adapt to the English game. Bogle looked very lively and I’m sure he’ll be a real threat throughout the season. #BCFC

Just a bit rusty in front of goal; strikers haven't seen that many chances in months! If we continue playing like that we'll be scoring in no time. Bogle and Gardner improved us too, they're first choice now IMO. #BCFC

Two great debuts from Bogle and Gary Gardner, both looked very promising #Bcfc

One fan thinks we now have a number of good options up front:
Bogle and Juke also looked very good up top tonight, good decision to drop Adams and hopefully means he may kick on, especially with Vassell coming back too. #kro #bcfc

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much from Bogle when we brought him in earlier this month. From the looks of things though, he seems to have something to prove which is a big positive.
He has a physicality about him, the work rate to get around the pitch, and although he could have perhaps done better with the chance that was presented to him, there is no doubt that we were a greater threat with him in the team.
We certainly need to offer more away from home. At St Andrew’s, we can give anyone a game, but when we travel to Bolton this week, we need to provide a greater attacking threat, and Bogle should give us the best chance of doing that.
