‘Let’s get stuck into them!’: Some Birmingham fans respond after ace tweets on cup draw

Birmingham City have improved significantly under the guidance of Garry Monk and returned to winning ways against Preston on Saturday.

The Blues bounced back from a slight dip in form over the past few weeks to extend their impressive record to six wins in the past nine games, giving fans increased confidence ahead of the long and gruelling campaign that lies ahead.

Beating Preston was the perfect start to December and it represents the beginning of a busy run of fixtures over the course of the festive season – which lasts throughout the month and into the New Year, when FA Cup football returns.

Monday night’s FA Cup third round draw has handed Birmingham a tasty tie away from home against Premier League side West Ham, who are owned by David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady – all of whom were previously in charge at St. Andrew’s.

Bournemouth loanee Connor Mahouney quickly took to social media to give his reaction to the draw and many fans took the opportunity to respond to the 21-year-old. We have gathered some of their reactions below.
