Neil Lennon has revealed that he was surprised by the quality of facilities when he was given a tour of the club by the Chairman.

Lennon has taken the Bolton Wanderers job after six months out of football, just in time for them to face Birmingham City this Saturday.

I`m really impressed with the facilities here, the training ground, obviously the stadium here, the academy, it`s actually a bigger club than what I expected, so I`ve been pleasantly surprised but obviously thrilled to get the job. Lennon told Sky Sports.

The former Celtic manager compared the job to his Celtic days, as expected. He knows how to work under pressure, he said. Adding to that he went on to explain that this league is an unpredictable one and called it a tremendous challenge.

Bolton have been very much below expectations this season and will be hoping their new boss can pick up three points at St Andrews this weekend.

Birmingham are on the back of a positive up turn in fortunes, but they know it will have to continue if they are set to really shift the club forward.
