Leeds United dominated a Birmingham City side that usually puts in a decent performance on their travels to Elland Road.

Blues lost three goals in the first half. It was nothing short of terrible in the first period and Leeds didn’t need asking twice to put away their well worked chances. In truth it could have been far more than 3-0.

McCormack, Rodolph Austin and Matt Smith the scorers.

The second half was better but they still couldn’t get back into the game with a goal.

Leeds rounded off the day with a 4th with 16 minutes to go until full time. It was a good header from Smith who had just also scored an absolute rifle of a shot only to look over and see the flag raised.

Blues have now lost the last five away from home. As the form continues to dip, the worries grow. In fairness the second half was much better and the team certainly had what it takes to compete but on the day they failed to get to grips with Leeds early on.
