Birmingham City Manager Lee Clark has revealed some of the emotional effects the relegation battle had on him. He reiterated time and time again how he was hurting and it could be said he always stood firm and bore the brunt of the criticism away from his players during the difficult end of the season.

Clark revealed

“When we were 2-0 down at Bolton I felt devastated for the players and the fans.

You know what, not once could you say that about these players, that they didn`t care and that`s why fans have stood by them.

They didn`t deserve to be where they were – going out of the Championship.”

Lee Clark`s celebrations made news reports everywhere as he ran half of the pitch to celebrate in the supporters with the front section of the lower tier. It was there for all to see, a relieved and emotional manager.

Has anything about Lee Clark`s celebrations changed how you feel about him? Has his passion assured you he can do the job on a better budget?
