Birmingham City have announced that caretaker manager Lee Carsley addressed the players this morning ahead of their training session in the build up to the Championship fixture against Derby County this weekend.

In what has been a busy few days for the club following the sacking of Harry Redknapp after the Preston North End defeat on Saturday afternoon, the club have been quick to try and inject some positive vibes back into the day to day running of Blues.

As well as informing us of the news that Carsley took his first training session this morning, Blues also confirmed that the former midfielder has appointed two new coaches to help him during his time with Blues.

Current defender Paul Robinson has been appointed as a first team coach, as has Paul Williams, who worked alongside Carsley during his time at Brentford in 2015.

Paul Groves will remain at the club as a coach and Kevin Hitchcock will stay on as goalkeeper coach also.
