Larsson wants out?

According to reports, Swedish international Sebastian Larson wants out of Birmingham City and has told the club so.

Reports suggest that Larsson wants Premiership football and there is no shortage of interest from Premiership clubs. Newcastle, Blackburn and Bolton are all on alert.

Despite Blues being favourites to win the Championship and get back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, he is supposed to have asked boss Alex McLeish to let him move on.

Larsson told Swedeish sports paper Sportbladet: ‘I want to play at the highest level.

‘I hope it will be resolved. There are three weeks left of the transfer window.

‘I have got a new contract proposal from Birmingham, but I am not interested in that.

‘I have got two years left on my current deal. I am not the kind of player who creates a lot of trouble.

‘But somewhere there has to be some respect between the club and the player. Of course it would be better if I played in the Premier League.’
