Sebastian Larsson has not yet been able to agree terms with Birmingham over a new contract with the club.

Larsson has got a year to run on his current contract and if a deal is not struck soon then Blues could be tempted to cash in.

The Sweden international came close to leaving St Andrews at the end of last season when Birmingham were relegated, but interested parties were not willing to pay the asking price.

‘I want to play in the Premier League,’ Larsson told Fotbollskanalen.

‘Nothing has happened. We have had discussions for some time.

‘I’ve told them that I wish to concentrate on the upcoming (World Cup) qualifier first and then talk about it.

‘Last season started bad since I had my
thoughts on other places but then it got better and better.’
