BOLTON WANDERERS – David Wheater, Emile Heskey, Paul Rachubka, Neil Danns, Stephen Dobbie, Oscar Threlkeld, Niall Maher, Liam Feeney, Rob Hall and Hayden White are all set to leave relegated Bolton Wanderers.

BURNLEY – Premier League new boys Burnley could lose midfielder Joey Barton. The midfielder is in talks over a move to Rangers and has been shown around their Auchenhowie training complex. Barton is yet to be offered a new deal at Turf Moor.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC – Chris Wilder looks set to remain as manager at Northampton Town after failing to agree terms over with Charlton Athletic over the vacant managerial position at The Valley.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN – Midfielder Dean Whitehead has been given a three match ban for violent conduct following an incident with Brentford`s Nico Yennaris.

LEEDS UNITED – Owner Massimo Cellino admits his regret at buying the club. Cellino told the Times: ‘It’s better to walk out, not because I’m dishonest but because I’m tired and hurt and lonely. If I could turn back time and you ask whether I would come to this club, I would say never.’

MK DONS – Former Blues defender Matthew Upson has been released by MK Dons along with Anthony Kay and Jordan Spence. Nicky Maynard has also opted to leave.

NEWCASTLE UNITED – Rafa Benitez is in talks over his Newcastle United future. The Spaniard was relegated from the top flight with the Geordies last week but was only placed in charge in March. The club are hoping to persuade him to stay at St. James` Park.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST – Caretaker manager Paul Williams has left Nottingham Forest after failing to agree terms on a coaching role.

WOLVES – Kenny Jackett has spoken of his determination to keep Kevin McDonald at the Molineux. The Wolves manager told the Express and Star – “We want him to come back in pre-season, work very hard and work his way back into the team”.
