Luke Turner picks a key player for tonight’s game…

Blues entertain bottom of the table Rotherham United at St Andrews this evening looking to bounce back from Friday’s defeat at Nottingham Forest.

There’s plenty of positivity around our club at the moment after the takeover was finally completed yesterday and the old, dark regime came to an end.

If we are to get a victory tonight then I think that Che Adams will be key to it.

It’s likely that Rotherham will be more than happy to sit tight and try to close all the gaps which may prevent Blues from finding openings.

In a game like this we need someone like Adams who can make those intelligent runs in behind, link up well with the striker and then take a chance when it comes.

Even at the tender age of 20, it already feels like Adams can be a match winner and, without putting too much pressure on him, he can be someone to call upon in a time of need.

We all know that Blues particularly struggle to break teams down at home so if Adams can just give us that little spark to get us going, then I think we will have no problem in breaking down Rotherham`s defence.

The Millers have lost all six of their away games so far this season so they’ll be very short on confidence.

If Blues and Adams can start quickly, create a few chances and maybe even take the lead, then we will make life a lot more comfortable for ourselves.
