Luke Turner picks a key player for tomorrow’s game…

Blues face second placed Brighton at St Andrews tomorrow evening in a game that sees new manager Gianfranco Zola take charge for the first time.

It sure will be a strange atmosphere inside the ground after a whirlwind two days and I’m sure a lot of people will be wanting to pay tribute to the departing Gary Rowett.

However, the team still have a job to do and, if we are to pick up a second successive win, then I think that Lukas Jutkiewicz will be key to it.

He was, once again, excellent on Tuesday and really led the line well. With the support of Che Adams just behind him, I think that the pair can really cause Brighton problems.

Chris Hughton`s side are an excellent footballing side but they can also do the nitty gritty so Blues can’t underestimate that part of their game.

Jutkiewicz will be up against two top class centre halves in Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy so it’s crucial that he gets support from those around him.

We must play to his strengths and not force him down the channels or play the balls in behind to him- that is where Adams will do well.

If we constantly bombard him with high balls, he is going to have a job on his hands against the powerful centre backs so it`s important that we mix it up a bit.

I’m a sure that Zola will want us to keep possession of the ball a lot more and pass around a teams but this may come too early for tomorrow’s game.

If we stick to what we are good at for now, then I don’t see any reason why we can’t nick a point or even all three against The Seagulls.
