Luke Turner’s thoughts on who will be key for Blues when they face The Owls…

Blues have won two and drawn one out of their previous three Championship fixtures. They haven’t conceded a single goal in any of those and it is partly down to the form of one man, Paul Robinson.

Robbo has fought his way back into the team at the expense of Jonathan Spector who partnered Michael Morrison at the back for most of the first half of the season.

I don’t think it is any coincidence that seven out of our eleven clean sheets this season have been when Robinson has played.

We all know of his superb leadership qualities, how committed he is and how determined he is to win for the team.

We have a huge game on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday where the winners will take pole position in the race for a play off spot.

I believe that Robbo will be key to us in a game that will need fighters, commitment as well his wealth of experience.

Along with Morrison, he will command the back four and organise the rest of the team to ensure they are doing their job.

Players like Robbo aren’t as common nowadays but when it comes to the big games, like we have on Saturday, these players stand out from the rest.

I expect Robinson to be fully up for the game and he is still going strong at the age of 37 which is a credit to him.

At present you could suggest he is one of the first names on Gary Rowett`s team sheet and his performances are justifying his inclusion.

I expect another strong performance from him on Saturday and we will need it from him if we are to get anything out of the game.
