The referee for Saturday’s game with Barnsley is Kevin Wright unless there is a late change.

Wright is based in Cambridge and we have not seen him in charge of a Blues game since Sunday 16 October 2011 when he took charge of City’s 2-0 home win against Leicester City.

That afternoon Jean Beausejour picked up a yellow card, but it was worse for Leicester’s Matt Mills who was sent off on 56 minutes. The two goals for Blues came from Marlon King and Chris Wood.

Moving onto the current season and Wright has taken charge of six games, in that time he has shown 15 yellow cards but no red as of yet.

Joe Hull and Simeon Lucas will be the people with the flags on Saturday while fourth official duties will be left to Seb Stockbridge.
