Keep The Momentum Going

Bruno N’Gotty has called for Blues to keep the momentum going after their 2-0 win over QPR last night.

The success at Loftus Road last night means that Birmingham have won five out of their seven clashes so far since being relegated to the Championship and although performances haven’t matched the expectation that we will go straight back up yet, results have certainly been favourable if you ignore a certain Welsh team.

N’Gotty headed in Blues first last night with Jerome adding a second later.

Speaking to the official site he said:

‘It is good where we are.

‘We just have to take the points where we can and carry on in the same way and stay top of the league.

‘Home games are very important so we need to win on Saturday against Ipswich Town.

‘We cannot just stay in this performance, we have to move on to the next one and get another win.

‘I think our team is still growing. It has been difficult because everybody is saying ‘we need to get back in the Premiership’.

‘Every game is a pressure game for us and we are supposed to win every game.

‘In the Championship that is difficult, of course. We have a good team, but everybody wants to beat Birmingham.

‘We need the maximum every game and sometimes we will play well, sometimes we will play badly – that’s normal over a long season.

‘But I am confident we can keep our momentum going and achieve our ambition.

‘You see a lot of goals from free-kicks and corners in this league, in football.

‘It is important there is a good delivery of the ball so that you can attack it. Whether it’s me, maybe Radhi or another player, we have to get onto the end of the crosses.

‘You work hard on the training ground to perfect this kind of free-kick and last night it paid off.

‘I think we can score more goals from them. In our last game we had good corners and Nicklas Bendtner scored, we hit the post from a free-kick as well. We can score more – and we have to.’
