James McFadden Without A Club

Former Birmingham player James McFadden is without a club after leaving Motherwell back in May.

McFadden has revealed that he felt it was time to move on from his boy hood club for another team. He has had offers from Scotland and abroad but so far nothing has ‘excited’ him, as he put it.

Maybe that is a big hint that he would like one more go in England? and he is waiting for an offer from south of the border.

McFadden has largely fizzled out after reaching the heights of playing for Everton in the Premier League and scoring 15 goals for Scotland. His time for another move is quite rightly now, but if memory serves me well he is quite the medical risk!

The now 31 year old was apart of the Birmingham City team that was relegated from the Premier League in 2008. After signing for a reported £6.6 Million.

Not many will remember but he actually played in Birmingham’s Carling Cup winning campaign. He scored in a 3-2 win over Rochdale. He was then injured from the middle of September and was released at the end of his contract, following relegation.

He then rejoined Everton and after scoring 0 goals, moved to Sunderland where he also struggled.

McFadden will hold out for a club this summer, but with the season already under way he may have to choose from what he already has on the table.
