Millwall manager Kenny Jackett said that he had been concerned about getting involved in a relegation battle after watching his side draw 1-1 with Birmingham at St Andrews.

Jackett has got to take his team to Wembley next week to take on Wigan in the FA Cup semi finals and he won’t be too pleased if they show early signs of nerves like they did on Saturday.

Birmingham went in front when Wes Thomas was on target in the 49th minute, but City could have been a couple of goals up by the half time whistle had they taken their chances.

But 20 minutes after taking the lead, Blues were pinned back by Chris Taylor who grabbed the equaliser.

Jackett said to reporters: “To come back from going a goal behind and get a point was satisfying.

“Generally, if I look at the game again a draw was a fair result.”

Jacket knows that being in the FA Cup could see things go very wrong for his side in the league.

He added: “Since the quarter-final game it has been danger signals for me as manager because with everyone winning at the bottom we could still be sucked into a relegation battle because we are focused on Wembley.

“It is in our own hands. We have games in hand. With five of the seven at home we have to take full advantage of this situation although I know our home form has not been great this season.’
