The Mirror are reporting that the club are in discussions with the EFL over having the transfer embargo lifted.

Talks with league officials are believed to be ongoing, but it seems that there has been no breakthrough yet so Garry Monk can get on with his transfer business.

I asked fans whether they think there will be more signings before theĀ end of the transfer window, and a large majority of you think there will be:

It was suggested that Kristian Pedersen had now been registered so he can play at the start of next season but Mirror reporter James Nursey believes this still isn’t the case.

It is believed that the club have promised the left-back that he will be eligible to play against Norwich on 4th August, but at this moment in time, there is no guarantee that the Dane will be in the starting line up for the opening game.

  • What I’m confused about is why we have an embargo when Villa was 75 million in the red where is there embargo then. And Derby reportedly 43 million in the red where is there embargo why is it always Birmingham that are picked on. Can anyone explain. It’s more than 12 of the clubs was put in some sort of sanction but none of them have embargoes on them or at least it’s not been reported. Confusing.
