Tomorrows trip to Middlesbrough is a six pointer, relegation battle, vital, another CupFinal etc etc. Yes nothing seems to change. Injuries, suspensions, players coming back, players injured on international duty, players scoring on international duty and so it goes on.

Were it not for the fact Borough pulled off the shock of the season by beating Chelsea 3-0, Blues would have been travelling in hope of one maybe 3 points. Borough’s previous home game was a 4-0 trouncing by the lot from B6.

The fan threw his season ticket at Mclaren, and missed! Everything was ominous for the Teesiders. Last week they beat, as we did and Sunderland did, the Baggies at the Hawthorns. The watching scribes and commentators were quick to point out that Albion played better and created more chances. They having unloaded their best strikers can’t score. We have signed two strikers and can’t score.
The Middlesbrough back line is poor and we must get a goal or two against them. Blues will probably keep faith with Heskey and give DJ his first start. Mikeal Forssell with have to stay on the bench.

He would surely have got a run out against Sunderland and added to his goal tally but the injury situation left him stranded. He netted twice in midweek for his country and has with DJ more goals than any other Blues player.

David Dunn has a date with destiny tommorow. If Bruce can get a full game out of him he could be the key to Blues survival. They have looked at their most potent with him on the field. Sadly these have been 20 minute bursts so far.

If we can keep him on the field for the rest of the season Blues could finish clear of relgation and neatly complete Cup history at Cardiff. First finalists ,Last winners?
