Impressive – Birmingham Outcast’s 40 Yard Run To Score In Under 23 Friendly

|

Since returning from his loan spell at Aberdeen this summer, Greg Stewart hasn’t trained with the first team.

So far, the Scottish winger has had to make do with run-outs in friendlies for the under 23s. Against Non-League club Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, he certainly did his best to impress Garry Monk, dancing past a number of defenders before coolly slotting the ball home:

The 28-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements according to the Birmingham Mail. He hasn’t played a competitive game for the club since April 2017, and it’s a shame he hasn’t been given a bit more of a chance to impress during pre-season.

He wasn’t taken on the first team’s tour of Austria and Germany and is still expected to leave before the end of the transfer window. His four goals and four assists in 36 appearances last season for the Dons wasn’t particularly impressive, but do you think he deserves another chance? Let me know in the poll:
