With the transfer window officially open, it’s that time of the year again when rumours of who we are going to sign ramp up.
One of the areas that Garry Monk will be keen to strengthen will be up front, with no forward having hit double figures this campaign.
Some fans on Twitter have suggested that Blues fans Troy Deeney would be the ultimate prize if the club managed to pull it off:
He’s on 100K p/w, he’ll only leave Watford if he’s forced at gunpoint.

He's said he doesn't want to play for blues because of the pressure he'd have on his head

After last year’s crazy transfer window I’d be happy with just a striker to offer competition to Che & Juke and a central midfielder – Although Vassell coming back should be a signing in itself.

Verdict:
Troy is on a huge wage at Watford, and the likelihood of any deal is pretty small, to say the least. Yet, it hasn’t stopped some fans from hoping that the 29-year-old may consider a switch to St Andrews one day.
At the moment, he continues to be a regular for the Hornets, whilst also captaining the side. He was in and out of the side under previous coach Marco Silva but has regained his place in the team under current boss Javi Gracia.
