I suppose the best way you can describe this as the silver lining in a dark cloud.

Birmingham City’s poor run of form continued, as they were defeated at St Andrew’s 3-2 by Wigan Athletic. The Blues fell behind inside the first ten minutes through a Josh Windass strike, but it’s the man who got the equaliser for the Blues that is the main subject of this article.

Kerim Mrabti scored only his second goal of the season, and second in three games after his goal against Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day.

Having been frozen out of the squad for large parts of the season, there’s arguably no better way to show that you have something to give to the squad than by firing into the back of the net when you’re given the chance. So when he managed to get on the scoresheet yesterday, Blues fans swarmed to social media to show their support for the Swedish forward.

Should Mrabti be a regular in the first-team?

Question is, did he do enough in this game to convince Pep Clotet to keep him in the first-team going forward?

  • Dire performance,no excuses, Pep thought Wigan were a push over and named a line up to that effect, I bet when Paul Cook saw the line up he did not need to give his players a team talk. Disrespectful by Pep and we got what we deserved
