To be honest, I’m surprised it took this long for this to happen.
A bit like an ex-lover that you can’t quite get over, it’s a little bit hard seeing them with someone else. That however is the situation that Birmingham City fans find themselves in as their former head coach has taken his talents elsewhere.
Having lost his job as Blues boss during the summer, it has taken Garry Monk just a couple of months to find a new job, as on Friday he was announced as the new manager of Sheffield Wednesday. Birmingham fans have been crying for him to return ever since he left the club, well it looks as if that reunion is going to be a little bit harder to put together now.
It looks as if there are a lot of Blues fans who aren’t quite willing to move on just yet. When the news was announced on Friday that Monk had taken over as boss of the Owls, some fans took to Twitter to wish him well in his new venture. Others though, weren’t so complimentary.
Hope all goes well for you (except when you play Birmingham City!) and that the people who run Sheffield Wednesday appreciate all you do. Will never forget what you did for us and the way you made us fans feel like part of team. Thanks

And there were some who were hoping that his appointment would mean a few changes at St Andrew’s as well, with fans hoping he’ll want to reunite himself with his former assistant manager Pep Clotet.
Good luck Garry. Please feel free to take Pep Clotet but leave us Lee Camp. You can have David Davis for free #bcfc
