Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has not held it back from the press in recent weeks that a striker is still on his wish list ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Wednesday evening and after looking at some Premier League strikers, I believe I have found one that could potentially work out well for Blues.

Although there are definitely plenty of options that Rowett could potentially explore, like Chuba Akpom from Arsenal and Sheji Ojo from Liverpool, but Adama Diomande from Hull City is somebody who I think the Blues boss may have his eye on.

Over the course of the last two days, and they two days to come, it is expected that the Tigers will be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in terms of numbers coming in and with at least two strikers expected through the door at the KC, it wouldn’t surprise me if 26-year-old Diomande was allowed to leave the club on loan.

Joining from Norwegian side Stabaek in September 2015, Diomande suffered a tough time during his first six months with the promotion chasing side, where he failed to make an appearance until December for Steve Bruce who was then in charge of Hull.

However, three goals in 15 appearances for the Tigers in the Sky Bet Championship seemed a fair return for him considering he was only really making substitute appearances.

Unlike his faint goal scoring touch during his first season with the club, the Norwegian striker has netted three goals in four appearances so far this season, but as I mentioned earlier, Hull are expected to bring in at least two strikers before the clock strikes to close the transfer window and I wouldn’t be surprised if Diomande was allowed to leave on loan.

Blues have been linked with a whole host of names since the end of last season and hardly any of them have come to something so with manager Rowett expected to be thinking outside the box, could Diomande be a target of his? I would like to think he was personally.

Blues fans, would you like to see the club make a move for Adama Diomande? Is he a player who could shine in our team at the moment? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
