Word On The Tweet

‘How many points is he going to cost us?’: These City fans call for change after poor display

|

Looks like fans are searching for scapegoats already.

After their disappointing loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Birmingham fans pointed the finger of blame squarely on one person, and it wasn’t the manager.

Goalkeeper Lee Camp didn’t have the greatest of days as he returned to his old club.

He first allowed Joe Lolley’s opener to go straight underneath him, then found himself poorly positioned to react to Lolley’s cross for Lewis Grabban to score the second of the game, before being failing to come and collect the corner that allowed Michael Dawson to score the third.

I wrote earlier in the summer that I didn’t think Camp was the right choice to be number one this season, and based on Saturday’s performance, it looks like I could be right.

Don’t just take my word for it though, these Birmingham City fans weren’t exactly too impressed with what they saw at the City Ground either. They took to Twitter to express their anger at the goalkeeper’s performance and after this display, you wonder how long he’s got left before Pep Clotet considers making changes.
