The club have announced that they have extended Steve Seddon’s contract by a year.
They also have an option for an additional 12 months if the fullback performs well next season.
Seddon has been playing in the Under 23s but he has yet to make his senior debut for the Blues. Fans on Twitter welcomed the news of the 20-year-old’s contract renewal:

Verdict:
It’s difficult to know whether the left-back will be given a chance by Garry Monk next season. Cohen Bramall has gone back to Arsenal after his loan spell, and Jonathan Grounds’s future seems to be up in the air.
However, it looks likely that the club will sign Kristian Pedersen from Union Berlin to make up the numbers. Seddon did make the bench for the 3-0 win over Hull City in March so he does seem to be in the manager’s thoughts.
We may see him in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup next season, depending on what other recruits we bring in.
