DEMARAI GRAY
Gary Rowett has shed some light on Demarai Gray`s omission from the starting line-up against MK Dons. The Blues manager admitted, but not in so many words, that he fears losing the 19 year-old in January.
Rowett told the Birmingham Mail- “with January coming up we have got to look at one or two other players as well”. Viv Solomon-Otabor, the likely successor if Gray is sold, made his first full appearance.
DONS WIN
Rowett praised the players performance in the 1-0 win against MK Dons. He told bcfc.com- “We moved the ball around really, really well and created numerous chances. We hit the bar and the post and should have had a penalty. I think we were well worthy of our win and really should have gone on to make it a lot more comfortable.”
THE FANS
Rowett also praised the fans in what was Blues` highest attendance of the season, just a few hundred short of 20,000. ‘The crowd has helped us – they were fantastic. That’s two home games in a row where I have asked for a little bit of help from them and they have given it”, he told the Birmingham Mail.
