No, me neither.
Just when I thought that we were all done with bringing in players on free transfers, the club comes along and shocks me once again.
The Blues today confirmed the signing of Bernard Sun on a free transfer. The 20-year-old previously played for Estudiantes in Spain but did not have his contract renewed at the end of last season. According to BCFC.com Sun has been training with the U23s over the summer and played a few games for them. Whether or not he’ll stay in the U23s or be promoted straight into the first team we shall just have to wait and see.
For many fans, unless their knowledge of Chinese and Spanish football is impeccable, there’s a high chance that this is the first time you’ve ever heard of Sun.
That’s why Birmingham fans weren’t exactly over the moon when they saw the news come through.
100% thought this was one of those fake twitter accounts….

And there were a couple of fans who thought that there were, let’s just say ‘ulterior motives’ when the board announced that the move had been made official.
This is one for the commercial department surely. Theres no chance he'll improve the team anywhere. I can see the "Football Manager" headline "Shirt sales in China increased with your signing of Bernard Sun"
