Harry Redknapp could look to offload Robert Tesche and Greg Stewart as he begins reshaping his Birmingham City squad.

Tesche was often involved in the first team under Gianfranco Zola but didn`t feature once in the final three games under Harry Redknapp. After joining on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest, the German midfielder signed a three year contract. However, he may be surplus to Redknapp`s requirements.

Stewart has been the subject of interest from two Scottish top flight clubs. After joining Blues from Dundee last summer, the winger has struggled to establish himself as a first team regular under three different managers.

Stewart`s stock remains fairly high north of the boarder after scoring 32 goals in 84 appearances in just over two seasons at Dundee.

  • Shame things didn’t work out for Stewart, I had high hopes for him but it just shows the gulf between English and Scottish football. I can see quite a few departures from the squad thru the summer in all honesty, Fabbrini has made it clear he wants out which is no sad loss and I’d be surprised if Cottrill and Gleeson aren’t moved on and possibly Donaldson and even if they’re not I can only see them as back up next season

  • I expect these 2 to be at least of 5 or 6 that should go.. As said Gleeson needs offing too cotts will go and Robinson needs to stop playing also

  • Stewart was nether given the chance to show what he can do. Tesche can be a good player when played in the correct role but if he can be replaced with younger better player then go for it.

  • Stewart is skillful and can take good set pieces but lacks the vital component needed for a winger and that is pace. Tesche is a squad player at best. If Harry decides they aren’t good enough then that’s his call and tbh I won’t lose any sleep over either of them going.

  • Harry will get different things from different players and has a track record for spotting something in a player that would be suited to a different position. Stewart is a good footballer and although he lacks pace he has quick feet and can link things up well with short passes and flicks. At the end of the day there will be some players who he wants to keep, but would sell if the price was right and he had a better replacement, and others that can go if they get any offers so I expect at least 8 players to come in and about the same going out. A sprinkle of players who can make things happen mixed with what we already have in terms of honesty and resilience should make for an interesting time. Just maybe he can build on what GR started as at the end of the day it was going back to being organised that saved us and all we needed back then was the sprinkle of quality. I just happen to think that Harry can attract better players than GR
