According to the Evening Telegraph online, Birmingham City have agreed a fee with Dundee for Greg Stewart.

They believe that the fee is in the region of £500,000, which would mean that Blues would have spent £2.5 million in less than a week, something which they haven’t been able to do for around five years now.

Despite reports that Stewart had rejected a move to the Sky Bet Championship, the Telegraph believe that the move is on and Stewart could be confirmed as Gary Rowett’s fourth summer signing as early as this evening (August 10th).

It is believed that Stewart will be a Blues player ahead of the second game of the Championship season against Leeds United and after Rowett confirmed last night that the club were ‘very close’ to bringing in another player, it now looks clear as to who it will be.

The 26-year-old winger is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal at St.Andrews and his arrival would mean that Blues would now have four first choice wingers at their disposal, something which Rowett confirmed he wanted.
