‘Great Career Ahead Of Him’ – Fans Laud Birmingham Starlet After Breakthrough Year

|

Wes Harding says he “couldn’t be happier” after he was given the club’s Young Player of the Season award on Monday.

In an interview with Bluestv, the 21-year-old talked about the hard yards he has put in to make into the first team:

Fans were full of praise for the right-back on Twitter.

Verdict:

Just like Jacques Maghoma who took away the Players’ and Fans’ Player of the Season awards, Wes was a well-deserved winner. Since being given the chance by Garry Monk against Hull back in March, he hasn’t looked back.

It is not only the way he has established himself so quickly in the first team but also the level of his performances that he has been putting in. He was superb on Sunday, keeping Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon quiet for the most part.

He will surely be a strong contender to start next season as first choice right back, even with Maxime Colin likely to be providing competition for a starting place.
