‘Good signing’ ‘Great addition ‘- Some Birmingham Fans Are Hoping Club Make Move For Forest Outcast

|

Nottingham Forest’s Liam Bridcutt is the latest name doing the rounds on Twitter as a potential signing. It seems to have stemmed from a reply by the Sun journalist Alan Nixon who said it would “make sense” if we went after the midfielder.

There is nothing concrete about our interest, but it hasn’t stopped fans from debating whether signing the 29-year-old would be a good idea:

Others think he isn’t what Monk will be looking for in the transfer market:

Personally, I rate Bridcutt. He’s an excellent holding midfield player, but Garry Monk is likely focusing on a more offensive player. Creating goals is the biggest problem this team has, and we need someone who can direct the player in central midfield and who can pick out a few passes.

It is not easy to find someone, especially with the limitations on transfers we do have, but there must be a young talent keen to prove himself in the Championship who we could snap up on loan?
