Good Idea – 65% Of Birmingham Fans Polled Think Club Should Recruit Former Player

|

Former loanee Boaz Myhill is a player the club are looking at, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 35-year-old is available on a free transfer but his former team West Brom are considering whether to offer a new deal, while Middlesbrough are also believed to be in the mix.

With the reported transfer embargo still said to be in place, we still won’t be able to make a move for Myhill, unless it is lifted, but I polled fans to gauge whether he would be seen as a good signing. A lot of supporters would support a move for the goalkeeper:

As things stand though, it appears we can’t bring any new signings in. It looks like Garry Monk will head into the season with Connal Trueman as the number one goalkeeperĀ unless he makes a dramatic U-turn on the futures of either David Stockdale or Tomasz Kuszczak.

The Birmingham Mail say there is likely no way back for our no.13 despite our lack of options between the posts.
