Jacques Maghoma scored a brilliant opening goal against Norwich at the weekend, and he was deservedly praised for his all-round performance.
He was a constant menace, and after winning the player of the season last campaign, he looks to have carried on from where he left off.
Unsurprisingly, supporters on Twitter were waxing lyrical about our no.19’s display:
mans gonna be scoring 20+ this season tho, gonna have to take some time to learn each one????????

Mags is going to be one of Garry Monk’s most important creative outlets this season. His consistency over the last 12 months or so is certainly an important reason behind his rise to becoming a key first-team player.
With Che Adams and Jota not quite at it on Saturday, the winger stepped up to the mark once again, and from the early season evidence, there is every chance he will improve on the five goals and seven assists he managed in the Championship last campaign.
