Stephen Gleeson has revealed that even the player’s thought that Clayton Donaldson was offside during the match with Charlton.

Gleeson has enjoyed two starts in the previous games and he felt it should have been six from six in terms of points.

We feel that we should of won the game, we feel we dominated for large parts.

Following going a goal down, Blues got organised and certainly had the better of the first half. They did not find an equaliser until the second period, though.

Their goal we weren’t concentrating so early in the game

But we stuck to the game plan and as I say we have came away from two tough games with four points.

Birmingham did have the ball in the net twice in this game. Arthur turned and fired low in the box and Donaldson met the shot to poke it home within the six yard box, it was deemed offside.

At the time we thought it was clearly offside but we’ve watched it back and it is onside.

Gleeson has not been a started this season, unlike many of the summer additions that have found themselves at home in Birmingham. The Irishman is the first to admit it hasn’t gone as well as he would have liked.

But after two decent performances of getting on the ball and composing the team in possession the player is hoping he can kick on now. He will be hoping to do that in the team.

It’s been a difficult start to my career here, I have really stuck to it in training

I knew I had to take my chance in these two games and hopefully now he [Lee Clark] see’s me as a starter.

We will find out if Clark see’s him as a started after the international break, when Birmingham host Bolton in the Championship.
