Stephen Gleeson is pleased with Gary Rowett after seeing how the team have reacted to the new boss coming in to the club and turning things around.
Blues went from the ‘laughing stock of the football league’ to beating the leaders of it in just one short week after Rowett and his team took the Birmingham job.
“How did we get over it? By not talking about it!
“The manager came in and literally he hasn`t mentioned it, showed us clips about it.
“He just told us that Watford was the first home game of the season (of his regime) and to walk out to that crowd as well was a big lift.”
Rowett is clearly a very good man manager, the player’s seem to have a new lease of confidence, making less mistakes and looking comfortable at times. To achieve such a change in the way the players seem themselves so soon is a respectable feat.
“Hopefully we can get another positive result Saturday and then the manager can have two weeks with us to himself (during the international break).
“After that, hopefully, it will be even more of his team.
