Gardner Sits Out Toon Test Because Of Ban

Birmingham go into the clash with Newcastle at St James Park without the services of Craig Gardner.

Gardner picked up a two match ban for his sending off in the game against Wolves last weekend, it was his second red card of the season.

That will leave Keith Fahey and David Bentley contesting for the place in midfield.

Meanwhile striker Nikola Zigic is still sidelined with a groin and hip problem.
