Lee Clark was not the happiest of managers after watching his side go down 3-1 away to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.

City started well but were caught out with two quick fire goals around the half hour mark that gave them something of a mountain to climb against a solid looking Boro outfit.

Blues got a goal back before the break which should have given them hope of a fightback in the second half, but instead they lost their way.

Even after the home side had two players sent off near the end of the game it didn’t help City, in fact they managed to let in a third.

‘I am just frustrated,’ said Clark to the Birmingham Mail. ‘And it’s probably the most frustrated I have been this season because there was something there for us in that game, without a doubt.

‘We shot ourselves in the foot. We gave them the game, we gifted them their goals and been very wasteful at the other end.

‘Even if we had got a point I would have been frustrated.

Blues now sit in 18th place in the Championship, four points clear of the drop zone.
