Mikael Forssell has said he might have to leave the club if he doesn’t start to get regular football.

Speaking to the local press he has revealed that he doesn’t know what part he has to play in Bruce’s revamped side and was suprised he wasn’t sold during the transfer window with Blackburn Rovers expressing an interest.

‘It is very frustrating for me, I haven’t played for weeks.

‘I’m ready to play, I’m ready to fight, I want to show everyone.

‘When that isn’t happening, any player would say he then has to look somewhere else.

‘My only question would be that before the transfer window shut, if there was something out there, why didn’t anything happen? There must be a reason.

‘Sometimes in football you don’t agree to every decision.

‘You just have to react and do your best and hope things change. But it is very frustrating for me at the moment. It is difficult to keep training, get in for one game, and then keep that match fitness.

‘Long term I can’t speak too much about it but I am thinking ‘why am I here?’.

‘In football everything can change very quickly. That is just what I have got to look for. If it doesn’t, then I am sure the club will try to do something in January or after the season, I don’t know.

‘I think DJ and Nicklas have done brilliantly. People can say ‘they’ve done well’ and yes, fine, they have.

‘I have to accept that someone else is playing.

‘But then when people start asking for me transfer-wise, then why didn’t anything happen?

‘I didn’t play much last season and this season I’m thinking that I need games under my belt.’
