Former Birmingham Loanee Ravel Morrison will apear in court charged with assaulting his girlfriend and her mother in the early hours of a July morning.

Morrison has been known for acting out, it was the reason Manchester United let go such a promising young star not so long back. It now appears that the young man will return to Manchester to face charges to do with a previous relationship.

He was also to be charged with harassment but that charge has since been dropped. The details of the case will become more apparent once the trial begins in January.

Morrison has pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges as he bids to stay out of prison and on a football pitch.

It is fortunate that such stories are not coming out whilst he was wearing the shirt of Birmingham. Such press can only be bad for the club and a negative image of some of the people within football.

Nile Ranger is another footballer currently caught up in charges based on his personal behavior.

Morrison made 27 appearances for Birmingham whilst on loan from West Ham, under former manager Lee Clark.
