Former Blues midfielder Wilson Palacios has joined Hull City on the warm weather training camp in Portugal for two weeks in the hope of securing a permanent deal with the Tigers.

The Hull Daily Mail are reporting that the Tigers are interested in Palacios but he must first prove his fitness.

Having worked under current Hull boss Steve Bruce at both Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic, it is understood that both parties want to get the deal done sharpish should all things go to plan.

The 30 year old Hondurian midfielder is set to make his debut for Bruce on Friday 17th of July as they take on North Ferriby United in one of their set preseason fixtures.

After being released by Premier League side Stoke City, Palacios is looking to find a new club before the start of the new football campaign and it looks as though a move to Hull could be about to happen with manager Bruce being a well known admirer of the play making midfielder.

Blues fans, are you happy to see Palacios is still going? Would you welcome him back to the club should his trial with Hull City go wrong? Let us know in the comment section down below!
