Former Birmingham midfielder Keith Fahey has found himself a new club after joining St Patrick’s Athletic of the Airtricity League.

31 year old Fahey left Blues when he was released by the club in 2013 after making 130 appearances.

Fahey had trouble walking into another side because of needing hip surgery; he did manage a trial with Sheffield United but was not offered a contract so returned to Ireland even though he says that he has had offers from other clubs.

He told the Irish press: ‘I really enjoyed my time here before so I’m now just looking forward to get back playing football.

‘I was offered various deals from other clubs and ones which were financially a lot better, but I’ve come back here because of the great loyalty I’ve always received.’
