Former Birmingham City wide man Chris Burke has today secured a short term loan move to Rotherham United.

The 32 year old made over 130 appearances whilst he was at St.Andrews but in the summer of 2014, Burke was allowed to join Nottingham Forest on a free, where he has made 50 appearances.

However, Forest have since signed Jamie Ward who has pushed Burke further down the line at the City Ground and he has now been allowed to go out on loan.

Burke, who admitted in his official interview with the Millers that this was his first loan spell in his career, is hoping that this move can resurrect his season having only made 10 appearances so far this term.

It is believed that Burke will be joined at the New York stadium by current Birmingham City attacking midfielder Andrew Shinnie, with the Scotland Sun reporting that a deal is close.
