Birmingham City have been asked to explain comments made about the club’s finances and ownership involvement following an outburst from Peter Pannu yesterday.
Pannu claimed the club was about to run out of money due to a tax bill and that Yeung had been attempting to push through a sale of the club; which had been blocked by the BIHL board.
Now the club will have to answer these claims to the Football League who would take action should it be proven Yeung is excising any control at boardroom level.
It has became apparent that Panny is eager for a sale to go through and as a result his relations with BIHL have soured. Yeung also wants a sale and that would explain why Pannu is trying to push it forward. It is believed the two are very close.
The Football League have until recently been satisfied with the on goings at St Andrews but since the very public fallout from a senior club official it would seem they can no longer ignore it completely.
Birmingham City have expressed their dismay at the recent events and understandably so after turning their fortunes around under Gary Rowett.
