Well, the wait is finally over.
Having been without a ‘permanent’ head coach for the best part of a month following the departure of Pep Clotet, Blues have finally got their man as they announced the appointment of Aitor Karanka this afternoon.
The former Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest boss arrives on a ??? deal, but as history tells us that doesn’t mean a whole lot when it comes to bosses at Blues.
I’m a little sceptical at this appointment. As I’ve made clear in the past, the success at his former clubs isn’t necessarily down to just him, so forgive me if I’m not jumping over the moon at the news of this, but don’t get me wrong, I am pleased that we’ve appointed him, and wish him all the best with this most poisoned of chalises.
Did Blues get the appointment right?
Yes
No
Although clearly not as pleased as these fans, who couldn’t contain themselves at the news of the appointment.

I hate to say it, but @XuandongRen deserves credit here – as does Zhao. Now he needs to back off and let Karanka do his thing.

Yeeeesssssss dong you best do what you can to give him the backing because as you can clearly see the fans are happy so think of this great club and fans instead of yourself and we will be all good. No more fake promises now dong
