Two signings in the space of a day, how lucky are we?
Following the arrival of Jake Clarke-Salter on loan from Chelsea earlier in the day, Birmingham fans were greeted with the fantastic news that forward Lukas Jutkiewicz had signed a new deal that will see him stay at St Andrew’s until 2022.
Having bounced around Britain for the majority of his career, it appears as though Jutkiewicz has settled in B9 for good. Having made 124 appearances for the club, last season was his best season to date, as he chipped in with 14 goals and 10 assists as he helped the club through their unexpected battle against relegation. With Che Adams having departed for Southampton, the Blues will be looking for the 30-year-old to get most of the goals this upcoming season, unless of course there’s a new partner in the offing, funded by the Adams sale.
So when the news came out, obviously Bluenoses were over the moon. They took to Twitter to express their joy that their leading man was going to be sticking around for just a little bit longer.

Although there were a few people who demanded that he be given a lot more than just a new contract, but the captain’s armband as well. The position is open after former skipper Michael Morrison left for Reading when his contract expired.
Possibly our most under-valued player, give him that arm band and show him we do actually rate him ????⚽️????
