Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson has once again pointed out that he feels he was no flop when he played for Blackburn Rovers ahead of Blues trip to Ewood Park.
It`s 2005 since Ferguson last stepped foot on the Ewood Park pitch and he feels that the criticism he got when playing for Rovers was unjust.
The midfielder, who is having a good time at St Andrews at the moment, says that the main thing stopping him from playing his best at Blakburn was a knee injury.
Ferguson told Sky Sports: ‘I was captain at Blackburn. I don’t know why people have the perception that it didn’t go well for me there.
‘Maybe it was because I was injured. I had a bad knee injury but I came back and, when Graeme Souness left,Mark Hughes came in and I was still captain.
‘I enjoyed my time at Blackburn and I thought I played well. I think if you asked Blackburn fans then they would agree.
‘I think I gave everything I had and I made a lot of good friends as well.’
