Birmingham City made it two wins out of two in Austria last night when they beat FC Viktoria Plzen by three goals to one.

By all accounts trialist Zola Matumona played well, boosting his chances of a move to St Andrews from FC Brussels.

Two goals in two minutes put Birmingham on their way, Matumona picked up the ball to start a Blues break which ended with O`Connor netting.

Then McSheffrey was fouled in the box and he took the penalty himself and made no mistake.

Cameron Jerome was unlucky on 70 minutes when he hit the crossbar.

Zola then got past the attentions of three defenders to lay the ball back for Nafti to make it 3-0 on 78 minutes.

Then on 82 minutes, Murphy fouled David Limbersky in the area and Jan Rezek just beat Maik Taylor to make it 3-1.

Team: Doyle (Maik Taylor 46), Kelly, Murphy, Martin Taylor (Camara 68), Ridgewell (Jaidi 46), McSheffrey (Wilson 74), Carsley (Nafti 62), Mutch, Phillips (Aluko 62), O`Connor (Jerome 46), Zola.
