Vital Blues co-editor Rob Wildey caught up with Rotherham United fan Sam Windle ahead of Blues` visit to the New York Stadium on Friday afternoon.

What is your opinion of Paul Warne, Rotherham`s third manager this season?

He is a likeable guy but I have my question marks over him as a manager. Even though he was never going to save us from relegation, his inexperience in the dugout is shining through. Some of his tactical decisions are mind boggling – he was quite obviously the cheap option.

What did you make of Kenny Jackett`s exit and Alan Stubbs before him?

Jackett was all set to be a good manager for us. He was slowly making his mark on the team and, although relegation was always going to happen, he would have been a great option to lead us back from League One. Stubbs, on the other hand, should have stayed in Scotland – he wasn`t my cup of tea.

What has gone wrong for Rotherham this season?

Everything. First and foremost, replacing Neil Warnock with Stubbs was a bad move which started the rot. But saying that, we must remember where the club came from. Steve Evans bought us up to the Championship which was a good achievement, since then it has gone a bit pear shaped. Jackett could have resurrected us but the board treated him with the same contempt and broken promises as they did Warnock, who was a god send to this club.

If you could sign one Birmingham player for the Millers squad, who would it be and why?

We`ve conceded 93 goals in 41 games so it doesn`t take a rocket scientist to work out where our main problems lie. A defender would do nicely, anyone? Ryan Shotton perhaps. Even Paul Robinson could finish his career here and would be a massive improvement on what we have.

What is your prediction for the game?

I hear you lot have sold out so it will be a vociferous away end. I am rarely confident watching the Millers and can`t wait to see the back of this season. Saying that, with the pressure currently on your manager, I`m predicting a score draw. 2-2.
